FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CHEVROLET UNVEILS SPECIAL EDITION REDLINE PACKAGE FOR NINE CARS, TRUCKS AND CROSSOVER UTILITY VEHICLES AT 2017 CHICAGO AUTO SHOW

CHICAGO (Feb. 9, 2017) - Chevrolet unveiled its special-edition Redline series of cars, trucks and crossover utility vehicles at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show. Redline is expected to be the broadest special-edition series the brand has ever offered and will be available on nine vehicles across Chevrolet's lineup.

The Redline package features black alloy wheels with red accents, a black grille and sleek black nameplate with red trim. The package will be available on the Cruze LT, Malibu LT, Camaro LT and SS, Trax LT, Equinox LT, Traverse Premier, the Colorado LT and two variants of the Chevrolet Silverado.

The Redline concept was first introduced at the 2015 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas. The company said Redline is another example of Chevrolet brining SEMA concepts to dealership showrooms.

Increasingly, automotive brands are turning toward limited edition and special trims to attract new customers to nameplates they might not otherwise consider. It's a smart way to allow consumers to build and customize a vehicle that fits their needs, both functionally and stylistically, says Chevrolet spokesperson Monte Doran.

"Everyone wants a standout vehicle, one that's personalized and customized for them," said Doran. "It's great when we can deliver that right off the dealership lot."

The Silverado Redline is available now in dealerships, but availability on all nine Chevrolet vehicles is expected by the end of the year. Pricing will vary based on the vehicle.
