Truly Grand Opening!

This past week, Bob Rohrman christened Lexus of Arlington. The new store is located at 1510 W. Dundee Rd. in Arlington Heights - just down the road about a half mile from the original store. Usually when a dealership holds a grand opening, it's celebrating a new building or a new location, but in the case of Lexus of Arlington, Mr. Rohrman was celebrating a whole new way to shop for a car.
All told, the state-of-the-art facility had a construction cost of $43 million. The design is modeled after a five-star hotel with every facet of the customers' need in mind. Situated on 16 acres of land, the dealership is approximately 130,000 square feet, boasts a two story showroom and has 43 service bays. The facility offers numerous luxury amenities including a fitness center with advanced training equipment, private showers and lockers, massage beds and chairs, a zen quiet room for relaxation, an indoor golf driving range and putting green, a business center with high speed Wi-Fi access and an in-house movie theater. Children will enjoy the huge play area.
On hand to mark the occasion was a contingent of Lexus officials and representatives from the City of Arlington Heights, including Mayor Thomas Hayes. Executive Chairman Yoshi Inaba, Group Vice President and Lexus Division General Manager Jeff Bracken and Vice President of Sales and Dealer Development Steve Hearne presented Arlington Dealer Principal Bob Rohrman and his team with a Katana Sword. The presentation of the Japanese sword from automaker to dealer is a long-standing tradition at Lexus' parent Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc.
"We'd like to congratulate the team at Lexus of Arlington on the completion of this fantastic, new facility," Bracken said. "We are confident that this high-tech automotive center will benefit both new and loyal Lexus customers in the region for many years to come."
