The Force is strong with FCA

Posted by: Colleen Moran

In conjunction with the release of the long anticipated "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," FCA has partnered with Disney and Lucasfilm to create seven co-branded television spots for the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram and FIAT brands.

This promotional campaign will be featured in primetime, NFL and college football programs, radio spots and social media extensions. The campaign will not only be represented in the widespread commercials but will be following the Jedi Order all the way to the premier. In fact, Dodge plans to join the December 14th opening, in Los Angeles, with a customized Star Wars-themed vehicle.

Each ad captures different aspects of the latest installment of the sci-fi classic while collaborating with brand-specific automobiles. FCA hopes to draw audiences to both the film and participating brand's year-end sales events. In fact, the Ram Limited, which was a Chicago Auto Show world introduction last year, has a major role in the Ram Spot blazing through the desert throwing sand up behind it and in a momentous end frame shot where it joins its partners in the Ram fleet.

Overall, FCA hopes to capture audience's attention worldwide and has filmmakers and manufactures excited with the partnership. As Chief Marketing Officer of FCA Global, Olivier Francois, puts it "Having our brands be part of the global conversation surrounding one of the most anticipated movies in recent years provides remarkable worldwide exposure for our Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram and FIAT brands," in anticipation for a strong end to 2015 and a bright future.

Five of the seven spots can be viewed on the individual brand YouTube pages today as a precursor to "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" public opening on December 18.
