Mazda Drive for Good Campaign Helps Provide for Those in Need

Posted by: Julie Piatek

Mazda is giving back to communities around the nation with its new “Drive for Good” charitable giving campaign. Now through January 2, buy or lease any new Mazda car and the manufacturer will donate $100 to one of four national charities, as selected by the owner. In addition, take a test drive in a Mazda vehicle and its employees and dealers will pledge to donate an hour of their time volunteering for a local cause.

Mazda is collaborating with the following four national charities: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, American Red Cross, American Heart Association and the Mazda Foundation. In addition to the four national charitable organizations, Mazda Dealer Marketing Groups around the nation are also provided with the opportunity to select a fifth local charity that enables new Mazda owners to select a charity option closer to where they live. Chicago’s local charity is the Northern Illinois Food Bank & Greater Chicago Food Depository.

Mazda’s President and CEO Jim O’Sullivan says it’s more than about writing a check; Mazda, its employees, and dealers want to give not only their money, but also time, attention, and hard work to help others.
