The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) is an annual celebration of everything automotive. Unlike the Chicago Auto Show, though, SEMA isn’t open to the public. It’s intended for automotive media, manufacturers, automotive exhibitors and buyers. Products highlighted at SEMA are mostly intended for the automotive aftermarket and motorsports industry.
In all, it’s a $30 billion-a-year industry business that includes performance and racing components, cosmetic and functional accessories, wheels and tires, mobile electronics, safety products, restoration parts, handling equipment, drivetrain parts and more. The industry covers Hot rods, muscle cars, classics, luxury vehicles, sport compacts, street rods, light trucks (off-road and sport trucks) SUVs, Custom and recreational vehicles.
For the automotive aficionado, SEMA is a little slice of motorized heaven. For the average Joe, it can be a bit overwhelming. Here’s a few of the coolest four-wheel sites we caught this year.

A great example of what makes SEMA so appealing, King Slime -- a producer of a tire sealant product -- created a customized off-road vehicle, monster truck and hauler to attract attention among the thousands of exhibitors.
