Get a "Taste" of Electric Vehicles

People heading to the Taste of Chicago this weekend have the opportunity to test drive an electric vehicle (EV) thanks to the City of Chicago's Drive Electric program. On Friday, July 11, and Saturday, July 12, Taste attendees can take a free test drive in either a BMW i3, Chevrolet Volt or Nissan Leaf.
The City of Chicago's Drive Electric Chicago initiative is designed to encourage EV use and let consumers experience what EVs are all about. This weekend's featured ride-and-drive event is located at the Taste of Chicago's Congress entrance. Look for the red, white and blue Drive Electric Chicago banners and you will know you are in the right place!
What: "Electric Avenue" Electric Vehicle Ride and Drive event for BMW, GM, and Nissan electric vehicles
Where: Taste of Chicago, on Congress just east of Michigan
When: Friday, July 11 from 11am-5pm and Saturday, July 12 from 10am-6pm
