For the first time, 2015 Chicago Auto Show goers were able to see the Ford GT supercar in person at the show and fans voted it to be the “Best All-New Production Vehicle” in the Best of Show balloting.

In 2016, the “ultra-high-performance” vehicle won the title of “Vehicle I’d most like to have in my driveway,” by Chicago Auto Show-goers.

Well, today, Ford is making a dream come true for many by announcing that it’s now taking applications for the Ford GT at FordGT.com through May 12, 2016.

What seems like a match-maker service, Ford Performance has created a unique, customer-focused experience to select potential owners for the new supercar. Once approved, applicants will work with the new Ford GT Concierge Service for a personalized purchase experience and will be able to select the local Ford dealership where they’d like to finalize the transaction.

The FordGT.com site allows anyone to pretend what it would be like to build their very own GT by selecting from a number of colors, wheels and interior themes.

Ford considers the GT as the most advanced production vehicle ever that features the latest in lightweighting, aerodynamics and Ford’s EcoBoost engine technology, the brand’s term for its turbocharged, direct-injection gasoline-powered engine.

GT production is limited to 250 units per year and pricing begins in the mid-$400,000s. Tweet us your personalized GT @ChiAutoShow!
