DriveChicago.com pulls into the “pits.”

Posted by: Colleen Moran

Last weekend six DriveChicago.com fans snagged VIP access to the NASCAR Xfiniti race at Chicagoland Speedway compliments of the #MyFirstCarContest. The lucky participants came from as far as New York and experienced racing in a whole new light.

The individuals earned their entry to Saturdays Nascar Xfinity Series by entering in DriveChicago’s #MyFirstCarContest. Contenders with the most likes through social media were not only promised a ticket to Saturday’s race but, an up-close look at the life of a racer. Driver Josh Reaume partnered with DriveChicago.com and invited the six special guests to join his team for the day. In addition, a collage of #MyFirstCarContest entries and the Drivechicago.com emblem were added to Josh’s tailgate. In fact, winners were able to admire and document their first cars on the back of Reaume’s car as they stood on pit lane during the national Anthem.

At the start of the day winners barely contained their excitement when Josh welcomed them to his team’s hauler. After gearing up with new DriveChicago.com hats and t-shirts Reaume personally toured guests around the garage and pit area.

As if this exclusive view wasn’t enough, during the race winners were provided with pit crew headsets and front row seats on the pit stand. The newly appointed DriveChicago.com pit crew felt like part of the team watching the race in style. It was clear from the ear-to-ear smiles across their faces that the DriveChicago.com contestants were the champions that day.
