Coming to Chicago ...

If you like cars, and who doesn't, the 2017 Chicago Auto Show is place to be in February. Thanks to a perfect storm of vehicle introductions, model refreshes and all-new segment busters, there are more than 40 debut vehicles on the show floor. Of course, stalwart bestsellers like the F-150, Mustang and Camry are on display sporting complete overhauls. This year, the list  completely new or significantly refreshed models has never been longer. Just take a look at a few of the all-new vehicles you'll see on the floor of the 2017 Chicago Auto Show.

2018-Alfa-Romeo-Stelvio-4

2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio: The all-new 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio, which is set to compete with the BMW X3 and Lexus NX, was introduced last fall. The Stelvio will offer multiple engines, including a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that makes 280 horsepower and pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The all-wheel drive Stelvio also will offer a 505-horsepower twin-turbocharged V6 that displaces 2.9 liters. Unfortunately, pricing and availability are still to be announced.

2018-Audi-SQ5-3

2018 Audi SQ5: The 2018 Audi SQ5 is an all-new high-performance crossover version of the A5/S5 family, and it will compete with vehicles like the BMW X3 and Lexus NX. The SQ5 is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 that makes 354 horsepower and mates to an eight-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is standard on all models. The SQ5 is available now at Audi dealerships in Premium Plus and Prestige trims with a starting price of $53,300.

2018-Chevrolet-Traverse-7

2018 Chevrolet Traverse: The 2018 Chevrolet Traverse is a large mid-size crossover SUV that seats up to eight passengers and competes with the Dodge Durango, Ford Explorer, Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, and new Volkswagen Atlas. For 2018, Traverse is completely redesigned with fresh styling, new interior, and additional safety and convenience features. Most Traverse models will get a 3.6-liter V6 that makes 305 horsepower. Available only on Traverse RS will be a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that makes 255 horsepower. Traverse goes on sale this fall.

2018-Ford-EcoSport-6

2018 Ford EcoSport: The 2018 Ford EcoSport is an all-new five-seat small crossover SUV that will compete with vehicles such as the Chevrolet Trax, Fiat 500X, and Mazda CX-3. The EcoSport offers two engines - a 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder or a 2.0-liter four-cylinder. The EcoSport is available with front- or all-wheel drive. The all-new Ford EcoSport starts arriving in Ford dealerships in early 2018.

2017-Genesis-G90-61

2017 Genesis G90: The 2017 Genesis G90 is a large luxury sedan from Hyundai's Genesis luxury sub-brand. It competes with the Audi A8, BMW 7-Series, Cadillac CT6, and Mercedes-Benz S-Class. The Genesis G90 offers two engines: A 3.3-liter twin-turbocharged V6 that makes 365 horsepower and a 5.0-liter V8 that makes 420 horsepower. Both mate to an eight-speed automatic transmission and the G90 is available with rear- or all-wheel drive. The 2017 Genesis G90 has a base price of $68,100.

2018-GMC-Terrain-2

2018 GMC Terrain: GMC has completely redesigned the Terrain for 2018, giving it fresh styling, additional features and new engine offerings. The Terrian is a compact crossover SUV that shares a platform with the Chevrolet Equinox. It seats five passengers and competes with the Ford Escape, Honda CR-V, Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Cherokee, Nissan Rogue, and Toyota RAV4. Available engines include a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that makes 170 horsepower, a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that makes 252 horsepower, and a 1.6-liter diesel four-cylinder engine that makes 137 horsepower. The 2018 GMC Terrain goes on sale this summer in SL, SLE, SLT, and Denali models.

2017-Jeep-Compass-11

2017 Jeep Compass: Unveiled in the fall of 2016, the completely redesigned Compass is available with two- or four-wheel drive and is poised to compete with the Ford Escape and Hyundai Tucson. It replaces both the outgoing Compass and Patriot in the Jeep lineup. Power comes from a 180-horsepower 2.4-liter four and front- or all-wheel drive are offered. Compass should go on sale this spring.

2018-Kia-Stinger-5

2018 Kia Stinger/Stinger GT: The 2018 Stinger is an all-new entry-luxury sports sedan from Kia. Stinger seats five and offers an available twin-turbo V6 engine. The competitive set for this sleek and stylish sedan will include the Audi A4, BMW 3-Series, and Lexus IS. The Stinger is Kia's first luxury sports sedan, and it shares some components with the brand's K900 flagship sedan. The 2018 Kia Stinger will go on sale late in 2017, with pricing announced closer to launch date.

2017-Land-Rover-Discovery-3

2017 Land Rover Discovery: The 2017 Land Rover Discovery brings back a classic nameplate as it replaces the LR4. Discovery is a large sport-utility vehicle that seats seven passengers and competes with vehicles like the Audi Q7, Lexus LX, Porsche Cayanne and Volvo XC90. Engine choices include a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 with 340 horsepower and a 3.0-liter turbodiesel with 254 horsepower. On sale now, The 2017 Land Rover Discovery has a base price of $49,990, not including dealer and destination fees.

2018-Lexus-LS-1

2018 Lexus LS: The 2018 Lexus LS is completely redesigned with new looks and a new engine. The LS is Lexus' flagship luxury sedan, set to compete with the Audi A8, BMW 7-Series, and Mercedes-Benz S-Class. For 2018, LS has a completely new exterior and interior design, and it incorporates the spindle grille that's been seen throughout the Lexus lineup. Power comes from an all-new 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 that makes 415 horsepower and pairs to a new 10-speed automatic transmission. The 2018 Lexus LS is expected to go on sale late in 2017.

2017-Maserati-Levante-11

2017 Maserati Levante: The 2017 Maserati Levante is an all-new luxury SUV from a brand that's more well-known for making luxury sports cars. It's the first SUV from Maserati, and it will compete with vehicles such as the BMW X6, Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class, and Porsche Cayenne. The Levante will be powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 that makes either 345 or 424 horsepower, depending on trim level. The base price for the 2017 Maserati Levante is $72,600, not including dealer or destination fees.

2017-Mazda-CX-5-6

2017 Mazda CX-5: The 2017 Mazda CX-5 is a compact crossover SUV that does battle with the Ford Escape, Honda HR-V, and Toyota RAV4. For 2017, it's redesigned getting updated styling, more power and additional features. Available powertrains include 2.0-liter and 2.5-liter gas engines and later in the model year, a 2.2-liter diesel. The 2017 CX-5 adds G-Vectoring Control, which reduces torque at the front axle to facilitate smoother turn-in and corner steering. The 2017 CX-5 goes on sale in late February.

2018-Mercedes-Benz-AMG-GT-4

2018 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT: The 2018 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT is a high-end two-door sports car that adds new styling, more-powerful engines and new models to its lineup. Available engines include a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 that makes 469 horsepower, a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 that makes 515 horsepower, and a 4.0-liter V8 that makes 577 horsepower.  The roadster is expected to go on sale this summer and the GT R trim will launch this fall.

2017-Nissan-Rogue-Sport-3

2017 Nissan Rogue Sport: New this year, the 2017 Nissan Rogue Sport is a slightly smaller version of Nissan's popular Rogue compact crossover SUV that shares the same platform. Like the Rogue, the five-seat Rogue Sport will compete against the Chevrolet Equinox, Ford Escape, Honda CR-V, Hyundai Tucson, and Toyota RAV4. The main difference between the Rogue and Rogue Sport is length - the Rogue Sport is more than a foot shorter. The 2017 Nissan Rogue Sport goes on sale this spring.

2017-Porsche-Panamera-3

2017 Porsche Panamera: Redesigned for this year, the 2017 Porsche Panamera is a four-door hatchback that competes with the Audi A7, BMW 6-Series, and Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Available engines include a 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 that makes 440 horsepower and a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 that makes 550 horsepower. A 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 and hybrid model are planned, as well. All Panameras will have all-wheel drive.

2018-Toyota-CH-R-4

2018 Toyota CH-R: The 2018 CH-R is an all-new crossover from Toyota. This subcompact crossover SUV will compete against vehicles such as the Chevrolet Trax, Ford EcoSport, Honda HR-V, and Mazda CX-3. Sole engine is a 2.0-liter four that makes 144 horsepower. Front- and all-wheel-drive models will be offered. On sale in the first quarter of 2017, there's no word on pricing yet.

2018-Volkswagen-Atlas-21

2018 Volkswagen Atlas: Introduced last fall, the 2018 Volkswagen Atlas is an all-new SUV that will seat seven passengers. Offering a either a turbocharged four or V6 and available all-wheel drive, the Atlas will compete with the Chevrolet Traverse, Ford Explorer, and Honda Pilot. The 2018 Volkswagen Atlas will go on sale this spring.
