BMW takes Uber Users for a Ride in the Forthcoming BMW 7 Series
Today only, BMW and Uber are giving Chicagoans the ride of a lifetime – to be among the first to experience the forthcoming BMW 7 Series (set to launch in the U.S. on Oct. 24). Uber app users can request a BMW product specialist to chauffer them, free of charge, to the destination of their choice in the BMW 7 Series. This activation is hitting major metro markets including Chicago, New York City, Miami and Los Angeles. Additionally, prospective BMW 7 Series customers were able to exclusively test drive the vehicle over the weekend.
According to BMW, it wanted to introduce the 7 Series in a unique and exciting way for future customers to experience its top model prior to its launch. The partnership between BMW and Uber has generated buzz for the vehicle launch by providing consumers an exclusive experience and by targeting the younger demographic (Uber users) who tend to be more active on social media.
