A New CATA Team Member Takes the Wheel

Posted by: Monica Gostkiewicz

Monica 350Hello fellow car enthusiasts! I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the newest addition to the Chicago Automobile Trade Association (CATA) staff: my name is Monica Gostkiewicz and I’m thrilled to take on my new role as the 2013 Chicago Auto Show Communications Specialist.

I inherited my passion for cars from my dad, who paraded his beloved 1969 Chevy Nova SS to classic car shows all around town. It didn’t take long for me to adopt his adoration of automobiles, and I happily attended auto shows with my family…even sometimes during vacations!

I’m a Chicago native and grew up in a loving Polish family, but am a self-described globe-trotter and love to experience new cultures. In fact, in just a few weeks, I will be traveling to Dubai. I have a huge heart and feel that I was meant to see the world and meet extraordinary people.

I’m really looking forward to putting the "pedal to the metal" in my new role, evidenced by the fact that I just couldn’t wait to get out into the workforce as I graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Loyola University in just three years! I have a rooted passion for PR and have already "greased the wheels" in the PR/Marketing industry as a former Publicist Associate for S.K.P.R Media.

I will be contributing to this blog frequently, so please leave me a comment and I will respond as quickly as possible. Also, be sure to follow the conversation via social media: Facebook.com/ChicagoAutoShow and Twitter.com/ChiAutoShow.

I hope you follow along on my journey as I navigate my way through the 2013 Chicago Auto Show and I’ll plan to see you at the finish line – the auto show – in February!
