115TH EDITION OF THE CHICAGO AUTO SHOW IS UNDERWAY
Public Show Runs Feb. 11-20 at McCormick Place
CHICAGO (Feb. 11, 2023) - The 2023 Chicago Auto Show is officially open to the public today through Monday, Feb. 20, Presidents Day, at McCormick Place. Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias, Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton, World Business Chicago CEO Michael Fassnacht, Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority CEO Larita Clark, McCormick Place General Manager Kelvin Moore, Choose Chicago Chairman Glenn Eden, and Choose Chicago CEO Lynn Osmond joined 2023 Chicago Auto Show Chairman Kevin Keefe, Chicago Automobile Trade Association President JC Phelan and Show Co-General Manager Jennifer Morand on stage to cut the ribbon to open the show.
“We are thrilled to be opening the doors to the 2023 Chicago Auto Show this morning,” said Chicago Auto Show General Manager Jennifer Morand. “After a few years of the show looking a little different than normal, we are proud to showcase robust manufacturer displays in both the North and the South Halls of McCormick Place once again.”
“We are going to have wonderful opportunities at this show to see new green energy, and a greener future for Illinois,” said Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton, in reference to plethora of electric vehicles (EV) on display at the show.
The 2023 show is the most experiential Chicago Auto Show yet, with seven total indoor test tracks and four outdoor test drives.
Indoors, attendees can take a ride on the all-new redesigned Chicago Drives Electric EV Track, featuring latest EVs from BMW, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Nissan and Volkswagen; Toyota presents “An Electrified Drive For All Seasons” providing passenger-only access to Toyota’s hybridized vehicles, including Prius, RAV4, Sienna, Sequoia and Tundra. Ford Built Wild, featuring its Bronco family of vehicles, and Built to Electrify, where people to experience the F-150 Lightning and Mustang Mach-E GT; Camp Jeep, a Chicago Auto Show staple since 2005; and Ram Truck Territory’s in-truck adventure designed to demonstrate the capabilities of the Ram Truck.
In addition to the indoor test tracks, manufacturers will offer plenty of opportunities for fans to jump behind the wheel and take a test drive on city streets. Participating brands include Ford, Kia, Subaru and Volkswagen.
Again this year, show organizers are hosting a First Responders and Military Appreciation Day on Tuesday, Feb. 14 to honor first responders (police officers, EMTs, paramedics and firefighters) and U.S. Military (veterans or active duty) by. On that day, all first responders and military will receive complimentary admission when they present their badge or military ID. Moreover, guests who accompany first responders or military personnel will receive a voucher for $5 off an adult admission.
Tickets to the 2023 Chicago Auto Show are currently on sale at ChicagoAutoShow.com. The 2023 show runs Feb. 11-20 at McCormick Place opens to the public daily at 10 a.m. Adult ticket prices are $15; seniors ages 62 and older are $10; children ages 4-12 are $10; kids 3 and younger are free.
