Mitsubishi Eclipse
2012 MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE: After a long and successful run as Mitsubishi’s signature luxury performance sports coupe in North American, the always fun-to-drive Eclipse Coupe and Eclipse Spyder will cease production after the 2012 model year. To mark the occasion, the outgoing Coupe and Spyder will be available in a unique SE Special Edition that will be on display during the 2012 Chicago Auto Show. The SE features an eye-catching exterior "SE" side decaling, black side mirrors and handsome 18-in. dark finish alloy wheels, along with an extensive list of high-end standard features. Besides the SE, the 2012 Eclipse is available in GS Sport and GT versions. Both the Eclipse GS Sport and SE are propelled by a normally-aspirated 2.4-liter SOHC MIVEC four-cylinder engine that creates 162 horsepower and 162 lb. ft. of torque, mated to a four-speed automatic. The GS is also available with a five-speed manual gearbox. At the top is the Eclipse GT Coupe and Spyder editions feature a 3.8L SOHC MIVEC V6 with 265hp/262 lb.ft torque that is linked to a five-speed automatic transmission with Sportronic technology to manually select gearshifts when so desired.
