Ford Edge
2013 FORD EDGE:
New features make the 2013 Ford Edge SUV/crossover more versatile than ever, and offers an enhanced driving experience. The bold exterior design is available in new metallic paint colors that include Ruby Red tinted clearcoat, Kodiak Brown and Deep Impact Blue. Edge is offered in front- or four-wheel drive configurations, and the standard powerplant is the 3.5 liter V-6, which produces 285 horsepower. The Edge Sport comes with a 3.7L V-6, which increases performance with 305hp, and the optional EcoBoost engine is available on the Edge SE, SEL and Limited, rated at 240 horsepower. Each engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, some with paddle activation, and the towing capacities ranges from 2000-3500 pounds. Exclusive to the EcoBoost models are side door rocker moldings and active grille shutters. A power liftgate with spoiler is available on Edge SEL, and new appearance package includes unique interior trim and 20-inch machined aluminum wheels. To further improve the quietness in the five-passenger interior, expandable foam baffles are used in the fenders and D-pillars while a thicker windshield with acoustic laminated glass helps decrease wind noise. With rear seats down, the Edge offers 68.9 cu. ft. of cargo room. Other new highlights for 2013 are the latest-generation SYNC system with Wi-Fi capability, text-to-voice, HD Radio with iTunes tagging and voice-activated navigation system.
