Audi A8/S8
2013 AUDI A8/S8:
Audi expanses its 2013 A8 flagship series from two (V-8 and W12) to a five vehicle line up (3.0T V6, 4.0T A8, 4.0T S8 and W12). The new 3.0-liter supercharged V-6 engine generates 333 horsepower that delivers better performance and makes entry into the A8 model line available to more buyers. The all-new 4.0L twin-turbo V-8 is faster and more powerful than the outgoing 4.2L. All engines are mated to an eight-speed Tiptonic automatic transmission with Audi quattro all-wheel drive system. While the 3.0T and 4.0T are offered in normal and long wheelbase versions, the S8 and the A8 W12 can be ordered only in normal and long wheelbase versions respectively. All A8s seat five passengers, and with the executive rear seating package available in the Audi A8 L and the A8 L W12, you're upgraded to a reclining relaxation seat with a power footrest, dual 10-inch video screens and a refrigerator. For further improvements in fuel economy, Audi has implemented Audi cylinder on demand technology for the new 4.0T V-8 engine and start-stop technology for the V-6. For the more performance-oriented driver, the Audi S8 is equipped with a 4.0L, twin-turbo V-8 that generates 512 horses and 479 lb-ft. of torque - making it the most powerful sedan in Audi of America's history. Acceleration from 0 to 60 takes a mere 3.9 seconds. Bringing the S8 to a safe stop are the high performance ventilated disc brakes, with matte black painted calipers that carry the S8 logo.
