Volvo XC70
2013 VOLVO XC70: With its high ground clearance, hill descent control system, powerful six-cylinder engines and available all-wheel drive, readies the 2013 Volvo XC70 for life's journey ahead. This marks the third generation for the XC70, which is available in XC70 3.2, XC70 3.2 Premier and XC70 3.2 Premier Plus. The XC70 3.2 is available in base, Premier, Premier Plus and Platinum trims while the T6 AWD comes in base, Premier Plus and Platinum trims. There's also optional Climate and Technology packages. Two engines are offered, each match with a six-speed Geartronic automatic transmission. The top engine is a twin-scroll turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder that creates 300 horsepower, which can sprint from 0-to-60 mph in just 6.2 seconds. Comparatively, the refined 3.2L naturally aspirated six-cylinder develops 240hp. Front-wheel drive is standard on the 3.2L, with all-wheel drive and Instant Traction optional on 3.2L and standard on all other models. Maximum tow rating for the XC70 is 3300 pounds, and with the vehicles automatically open/close tailgate, makes loading/unloading of the 72.1 cu. ft. of cargo room behind the front seats, including the 1.6 cu. ft. cleverly hidden under the floor. Standard on all models, Volvo Sensus system lets drivers manage information from the audio unit, navigation system (if equipped) and other functions, displaying them onto a seven-inch high-definition color monitor. All XC70s gain standard rain sensor windshield wipers and headlight washers for 2013. A new standard system on all models automatically turns on the headlights when the XC70 enters a tunnel and then returns the lights to the previous setting when exiting the tunnel. Keyless drive with personal car communicator becomes standard equipment with specific packages.
