Toyota Camry
2012 TOYOTA CAMRY: Toyota’s all-new, seventh-generation Camry wears a fresh, lean mid-size body, and supplies improved fuel economy in all 2012 models. Trim-levels for Camry include L, LE, SE, XLE and Hybrid; each front-wheel drive. There are three powertrain choices, starting with the revised 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that now delivers 178 horsepower, an increase of nine hp, and 170 lb. ft. of torque. The DOHC 3.5L V6 delivers 268hp and 248 lb. ft. of torque, and both gas-engine models come equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission. Debuting the latest Hybrid Synergy Drive powertrain, the Camry Hybrid consists of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with a small high-torque electric motor. Through its unique transaxle, the hybrid system collective output is 200 horsepower, and delivers an EPA rating of 43 mpg city/39 mpg highway/41 mpg combined. A new EV Drive mode allows the driver to operate the car on the electric motor alone for up to 1.6 miles. Camry offers an inviting and spacious five-passenger cabin that features standard 60/40 split folding rear seatback to expand cargo capacity. Accentuating the new body design are fresh paint colors, including Attitude Black Metallic and Clearwater Blue.
