Ford Transit Connect
2013 FORD TRANSIT CONNECT:
Highly configurable interiors, generous cargo space, easy loading and unloading, and exceptional maneuverability are hallmarks of the 2013 model year Ford Transit Connect.
Trim levels include XL Van, XLT Van and XLT Wagon. Small businesses, fleet owners and taxicabs have embraced the front-wheel drive Transit Connect, because it hauls like a truck, works like a van, yet drives and parks like a car. Within its compact overall length of 180.6 inches, Transit Connect is cleverly configured to provide front seating for two and up to 129.6 cubic feet of cargo space with a maximum payload capacity of 1,600 pounds. There is a full array of available bulkheads, racks, bins and other storage solutions that allow consumers to custom-build the interior to meet business an/or family requirements. A new model, The XLT Premium Wagon, is built to comfortable carry up to five passengers, and features side-and rear-door privacy glass. All Transit Connect models are powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine delivering 136 horsepower, and mated to a four-speed automatic transaxle with overdrive. The Transit Connect Taxi model can be upfitted for use with compressed natural gas (CNG) or liquefied propane gas (LPG). New this year is the availability of Ford's motoring mobility package to prepare for installing modifications to help assist physically challenged drivers and/or passengers.
