Scion tC
2012 SCION tC: Last year, those who attended the 103rd annual Chicago Auto Show (CAS), were able to check-out the major redesigned 2011 Scion tC. The excitement continues, with the must-see new tC edition on display during the 2012 CAS. It’s called the tC Release Series 7.0 of which only 2,200 units will be built. The Release Series 7.0 package comes exclusively in High Voltage yellow exterior paint with contrasting black side view mirrors, black 18-inch alloy wheels, plus front and rear lower valences and side skirts. All 2012 Scion tC models come equipped with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine that cranks out 180 horsepower and 173 lb. ft. of torque to the front wheels. Buyers have their choice of a five-speed manual gearbox or a four-speed automatic transmission. Standard on all tC sports coupes is a new Pioneer audio system that features Bluetooth hands-free, Bluetooth streaming audio and HD Radio technology. The sporty five-passenger cockpit can be reconfigured to hold up to 34.5 cu. ft. of gear when rear seats are down. An option to consider is the Pioneer Premium audio system that enhances the standard Pioneer system with a 5.8-inch LCD touch-screen display, features iTunes tagging and Pandora internet radio connected through iPhone and six RCA outputs to add external amplifiers.
