Mazda CX-9
2013 MAZDA CX-9:
It maybe hard to believe, but Mazda first released its CX-9 mid-size crossover in 2007, and it has been the pillar of Mazda's SUV family since the debut. Refreshed for the 2013 model year, the three-row, seven-passenger CX-9 is offered in three trim levels, which includes Sport, Touring and Grand Touring. Each variant is equipped with a 3.7 liter V-6 engine that produces 273 horsepower. When combined with the stock six-speed Sport AT automatic transmission (with a manual mode), the powertrain offers up to 3,500 pound towing capacity. Consumers have a choice between standard front-wheel and optional all-wheel drive configurations. The 2013 CX-9 sleek exterior receives Mazda's KODO "Soul of Motion" design enhancements that starts with the slight snarl of the five-point front grille with chrome trim that flows up into the eagle-eyed headlights. The steeply raked windshield compliments the brawny fender arches, and the CX-9 rolls on standard 18-inch and optional 20-inch aluminum alloy wheels wrapped in all-season tires. Spacious cabin provides a respectable 17.2 cubic feet of cargo room even with middle and third row occupants, and when both rows are fold flat, there is up to 100.7 cu. ft. of storage space from the lift gate and up toward the back of the front seats. The 2013 CX-9 is available in six glossy paint colors that includes Crystal White Pearl, Liquid Silver, Brilliant Black, Dolphin Gray and two new shades in Zeal Red and Meteor Gray.
