Ford Taurus SHO

2013 FORD TAURUS SHO: Combining high performance and technology, the 2013 Ford Taurus SHO remains a stealthy sport sedan differentiated from other Taurus models with a unique, SHO-specific grille and standard Taurus SHO 3.5 liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V-6. That engine generates an amazing 365 horsepower, yet achieves as much as 25 mpg highway. The new Taurus SHO driveline combines a high-capacity six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission with a custom tuned suspension and a sophisticated torque-sensing all-wheel-drive system. The SelectShift includes steering wheel paddle shift activation, and together, these components work in harmony to deliver ample traction when you, "Put the pedal to the metal." Two notable features for 2013 is the torque vectoring control systems to increase vehicle stability in curves, and the latest version of MyFord touch driver controls, powered by SYNC. Then, there is the special SHO performance package that is aimed at the discerning automotive enthusiast, especially customers who wish to push the boundaries of high-performance driving. The enhancements include improved cooling system, serious sport-tuned suspension, performance brake pads, specially calibrated steering, and a more responsive off-the-line acceleration due to the 3:16 to 1 final drive ration as opposed to 2.77 to 1 gearing in standard SHO. Finishing touches are the 20-inch machined and painted premium wheels framed by summer performance tires, and new Alcantara suede-wrapped steering wheel. As all Taurus models, the Taurus SHO can transport five passengers in the upscale cabin, and up to 20.1 cu. ft. of luggage in the trunk. Visit the official site for more information
