GMC Acadia
2013 GMC ACADIA: General Motors selected last year's Chicago Auto Show (CAS) to unveil the new 2013 GMC Acadia crossover vehicle. On hand again during the 2013 CAS, the latest GMC Acadia wears exterior updates that include a chiseled three-bar grille, LED lighting, wrap-around rear glass and new rear spoiler. Freshly minted 18-, 19- and 20-inch wheel patterns complement the vehicle's lines and bold stance. Acadia, which was launched in 2007 as GMC's first SUV/crossover, is offered for 2013 with a fuel-efficient, 3.6-liter direct injection V-6 producing 288 horsepower. Mechanically, the '13 Acadia benefits from a next-generation Hydra-Matic six-speed automatic transmission, and the powertrain provides up to 5,000 pound towing capability. Front-wheel drive is standard on all trim levels, while the added control of all-wheel drive is available. Acadia's popular options include rear-seat entertainment, a Dual SkyScape sunroof and a trailering package. With five passengers aboard, the Acadia holds 24.1 cu. ft. of cargo, which increases to 70.1 behind the second row, and up to 116.1 cu. ft. of gear behind first row. Acadia is the first vehicle on the market with GMC's new front center air bag system.
