GMC 2014 Sierra
2014 GMC SIERRA: Come to the 2013 Chicago Auto Show and witness the Chicago debut of the most advanced truck in GMC's 110-year history. It's the next generation, 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 full-size pickup with an updated engine portfolio for increased power, torque and fuel efficiency across the board. There is a 4.3 liter V-6, a 5.3L V-8 and a 6.2L V-8 offered, all from a shared EcoTec3 engine family. Each of the powerplants is connected to a six-speed automatic transmission with auto grade braking. Premium materials, attention to detail and purposeful technology define Sierra's all-new cabin. Redesigned instrument cluster is available with a centrally located, 4.2-inch color driver information center. Sierra is offered with a 110-volt outlet, up to five USB ports, four 12-volt outlets and an SD card slot. The Crew Cab, representing more than 60 percent of retail Sierra buyers, has cabins for five or six passengers, and a choice between the current 5-foot, 8-inch box, or a new 6-ft, 6-in box. Regular cabs (2/3 passenger) continue with the 6-ft, 6-in. or 8-ft box lengths, while the extended cab (5/6 seater) come exclusively with a 6-ft, 6-in. box. For the first time on Extended Cab models, is a front-hinged rear doors with outside pull handles at the rear. A suite of active safety features help with forward collision alert and lane departure warning. Note that the Sierra All-Terrain package on extended and crew cab models wear unique styling for 2014, counting a painted grille and less chrome. The All-Terrain is available with special paint colors and the highly-praised Z71 off-road suspension.
