HONDA EV-STER CONCEPT: Honda Motor Co will exhibit its next-generation electric small sports concept at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show - the EV-STER. This dynamic and innovative electric rear-wheel-drive two-seater convertible proves that a sports car can be sexy and operate fully on electromotive mobility. At a full charge, the EV-STER offers a driving range of about 99 miles from the 78-horsepower electric motor connected to a lithium-ion battery pack. Acceleration would be around eight-seconds from 0-to-60 mph, and a 100 mph top speed. When connected to a 200V outlet, the vehicle is ready to rock in under three hours, or about six hours when plugged into a 100v box. Travel range and performance benefits from the use of carbon materials that reduced the overall pounds, including the lightweight frame. Driver does not sit behind a steering wheel, but instead, easy-to-operate twin-lever steering which adjust variables like motor output and suspension settings at a flick of a finger. All vital vehicle information is displayed upon command, such as navigation, audio settings and internet access. Honda's ultimate goal is for the driver to concentrate on driving and at the same time, enjoy the experience. Come to the 105th Chicago Auto Show and marvel at the EV_STER and the nearly 1000 other vehicles on display from Feb. 9th to Feb. 18th 2013. Visit the official site for more information
