Hyundai Veloster
2012 HYUNDAI VELOSTER: The 2012 Hyundai Veloster delivers innovation to the compact segment by combining the style of a coupe with the functionality of a glass hatch and passenger-side forward-hinged rear door. The large third door makes access easier to rear-seating. In profile the Veloster features "Fluidic Sculpture" character lines, muscular wheel arches, bodycolor door handles and wraparound headlights and taillights. Powering the sporty, front-wheel drive Veloster, is the all-new Gamma 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers highway fuel economy of 40 mpg, and a peak output of 138 horsepower and 123 lb. ft. of torque. A six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission can be ordered with that engine. Veloster comes standard with 17-inch alloy wheels and offers two types of 18-inch wheels. And adding to the fun-of-driving, is sport-tuned electric power steering that adjusts instantly to changing driving conditions while improving fuel economy. A total of nine exterior paint colors are offered, with names like Electrolyte Green, 26.2 Yellow and Boston Red. Other available goodies include Hyundai's Blue Link telematics system, Pandora internet radio with seven-inch touch-screen display, Bluetooth hands-free phone system with voice recognition, a rear-view camera and backup warning sensors.
