2013 PORSCHE PANAMERA: Since its entry into the U.S. market in October 2009, Porsche's revolutionary Panamera luxury sports sedan line has proven to be a success with consumers and auto media alike. Building on that momentum, Porsche has expanded Panamera variations once again with the addition of the Panamera GTS, along with the other seven levels: Panamera, Panamera 4, Panamera S, Panamera 4S, Panamera Turbo, Panamera Turbo S and Hybrid. All models are four-door hatchbacks with a handsome coupe profile and an electrical opening and closing liftgate. Tailored interior offers a scrumptious four-passenger cockpit that converts into 44.6 cu. ft. of payload room for antique hunting, purchases from Michael Kors, or hauling weekend sporting gear. Four engine and two transmission choices await the customer. Base 3.6 liter V-6 offers a healthy 300 horsepower. Optional engines start with a gasoline/electric hybrid 380hp 3.0L V-6, then moves up to 4.8L V-8 with 400-430hp ratings, and then top-tier twin-turbo V-8 pumping-out an awesome 500-550hp. Depending on engine, seven-and eight-speed transmissions are available, and Panamera can be crafted in front-wheel or four-wheel drive configurations. Available features include Porsche Entry & Drive, ParkAssist, XM Satellite Radio, Burmester High-End Surround Sound, ceramic composite brakes and Sport Chrono Plus with Launch Control function.
