2013 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN: Comprehensively re-designed and updated for 2012, the 2013 Tiguan continues with the style and sophistication of a sporty, urban compact SUV that is the perfect size for city dwelling and country living. The Tiguan sees minor changes for the ‘13 model year. All Tiguans receive an electronic parking brake, a leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel and a leather shift knob. The SE trim receives a partial power passenger seat, while the SEL gets a full power passenger seat with memory and a rearview camera. Award-winning 200-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter TSI is standard in every Tiguan, with the choice of six-speed manual or six-speed automatic, front-wheel drive, or 4Motion all-wheel drive. It’s no wonder the ‘12 VW Tiguan is being described as the GTI of compact sport utility vehicles. Even fuel economy has been improved, from 25 to 27 mpg highway. The exterior styling features new front- and rear-end styling, available Bi-Xenon headlights, LED daytime running lights, two-part taillights and custom-look 19-inch R GmbH-developed ‘Savannah’ alloy wheel design. Ready for an active lifestyle, the Tiguan is designed to seat five-adults in comfort, or be a carry-all for 56.1 cu. ft. of fun gear. The available towing hitch accepts an attachment to carry up to four bikes, or can be used to pull 2200 pounds of jet skis, dirt bikes or ATVs.
