Suzuki Grand Vitara
2012 SUZUKI GRAND VITARA: For 2012, the Suzuki Grand Vitara carries over its stylish exterior trimmings and five-passenger interior, continuing Suzuki's 40-plus year history of building compact, rugged SUVs. The Grand Vitara is offered in four trim-levels: Grand Vitara, Premium, Ultimate Adventure Edition and Limited. All models maintain the classic SUV posture with an aggressive stance, short (and off-road friendly) front and rear overhangs and generous greenhouse. The vehicle's surprising off-road performance is enabled by a reinforced-for-rear-wheel drive unibody chassis having more in common with luxury SUVs than the car-based “soft roaders.” Power is supplied by a fuel-efficient 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 166 horsepower and 162 lb. ft. of torque. Buyers have a choice of a five-speed manual gearbox or four-speed automatic transmission, for 3000 pound towing capacity. Latest technologies include navigation system with Google Local Search for up-to-the-minute points of interest, Bluetooth, 2 and 3D maps, speed limits for most major roads, HotFix1 satellite prediction, and parking location. With rear-seat up, there 28.4 cu. ft. of storage space, and when down, 70.8 cu. ft. of cargo room.
