Subaru Tribeca
2013 SUBARU TRIBECA:
Offered exclusively in Limited trim line for model year 2013, the Subaru Tribeca crossover SUV includes standard leather seating, heated front seats and an auxiliary air conditioning unit with headliner-mounted vents in the second and third row seats. For 2013, the Tribeca gains a new brake override system, which cuts engine power if both the accelerator and brake pedals are pressed under certain conditions. All Tribeca models seat seven passengers, and come equipped with a 3.6-liter six-cylinder horizontally opposed Boxer engine that produce a healthy 256 horsepower on regular-grade fuel. The engine power is channeled through a specially tuned five-speed automatic transmission for ample acceleration and merging power in everyday driving. When properly outfitted, the Tribeca has a standard 2,000- and available 3,500-pound towing capacity. The Tribeca's twin cockpit interior design features a flowing, sculpted dash and center console design. Aluminum-look trim, electroluminescent dials and subtle ambient interior footwell lighting provide a sophisticated touch. The second-row seat has a tilt-and-slide control on both sides, while the standard 50/50 split fold-down third-row seat features integral headrests. When middle and rear seats are folded down, there is 74.4 cu. ft. of cargo room. The Tribeca provides a generous 8.4 inches of ground clearance and high seating point so desired in an SUV, with the comfortable step-in height of a sport wagon. A popular optional is the Moonroof Package that includes a rear-vision camera with a 3.5-inch auto-dimming mirror display. On an historical note, Subaru began displaying four-wheel drive passenger cars nearly 40 years ago at the Chicago Auto Show, and automatic full-time all-wheel drive since 1987.
