2012 NISSAN FRONTIER: As Nissan’s mid-size pickup truck, the Frontier continues to offer performance, utility, choice and value. The 2012 lineup consists of Frontier S, SV, PRO-4X (4x4 models only) and SL. Frontier is also offered in King Cab and Crew Cab body styles; regular or Long Bed as well rear-wheel and four-wheel driveline configurations. Revisions for 2012 add a new Sport Appearance Package on King Cab and Crew Cab SV models, with upgrades like 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, body-color front and rear bumpers, sport seating, fog lights, body side graphics, white-faced gauges and Bluetooth Hands Free Phone System. Frontier is known for its rugged F-Alpha platform, and exceptional level of on- and off-road performance. Two engines are available, starting with a 152-horsepower and 171 lb. ft. of torque, 2.5-liter four-cylinder in the King Cab 4x2 only. Other 4x2 and 4x4 models receive the 4.0-liter DOHC V6 engine rated at 261 horsepower and 281 lb. ft. of torque. Depending on powertrain setup, a five-speed and a six-speed manual gearbox or smooth five-speed automatic transmission is obtainable.
