2013 MAZDA MAZDA 6:
This will be the final year for the second generation Mazda6 (2008-2013), as the new 2014 Mazda6 enters the scene in late 2013. The 2013 Mazda6 is classified as a mid-size five-passenger sports sedan that combines tight front-wheel drive handling with high-end style and performance. There are two engine choices: a "sprightly" 2.5-liter four-cylinder and a "robust" 3.7-liter V-6. The MZR 2.5L is the standard engine on all Mazda6 i models, delivering 170 horsepower. It comes mated to a close-ratio six-speed manual gearbox on the i Sport models. An available electronically-controlled five-speed Sport automatic transmission is standard on the rest of the i lineup, which includes Touring, Touring Plus and Grand Touring. The 3.7-liter V-6, designated MZI, offers a stirring 272hp and available only with the six-speed Sport automatic, and only on the Touring Plus and Grand Touring models. It has a dual exhaust system that provides efficient exhalation for the engine, leading to an excellent high-rpm powerband. If you're hauling groceries or sports gear, the Mazda6 trunk offers 16.6 cu. ft. of cargo room. Upgrades include 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels, all-season tires, Bluetooth hand-free audio and phone connectivity, power moonroof, electroluminescent interior gauges, an anti-theft security system and a Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) system.
