Mazda CX-5
2013 MAZDA CX-5:
Debuting at last year's Chicago Auto Show, the 2013 Mazda CX-5 is a compact crossover SUV offered in CX-5 Sport, Touring and Grand Touring models. The CX-5 is the latest arrival to the Zoom-Zoom family and the first to fully incorporate the complete suite of SKYACTIV technologies, which re-imagines every component to work together in unprecedented harmony. It is also one of the first to apply Mazda's KODO "Soul of Motion" design language. Front-wheel or all-new active torque split all-wheel-drive systems are offered, and the standard engine is a SKYACTIV-G 2.0-liter gasoline four-cylinder. The 2.0L features a 13:1 compression ratio - the highest of any mass-produced car in the world - and delivers 155 horsepower. Consumers have a choice of a SKYACTIV-MT six-speed manual gearbox, the SKYACTIV-Drive six-speed automatic transmission or six-speed automatic with manual mode. The '13 CX-5 has a 2,000-pound towing capacity, and offers 26 city/35 highway/29 combined mpg - the highest highway fuel economy rating of any SUV in North America, including hybrids. Long and luxury-laced, the CX-5 sits on a segment-leading 106.3-inch wheelbase, seats five and offers a cabin that is undeniably flexible in order to accommodate up to 65.4 cu. ft. of family gear when second row seats are folded. There are seven exterior colors, including Zeal Red Mica.
