Lexus IS
2013 LEXUS IS SPORT SEDAN:
Minor tweaking was carried out on the Lexus IS sport sedan before the release of the 2013 models. Available in IS 250 and IS 350 trim levels, the IS sport sedan retains its wide stance and long wheelbase; fitted with shapely body contours, subtle ducktail-curved trunk lid and "air kick" taillights. Matching the road-hungry styling is a choice of advanced powertrains. The IS 250 is propelled by a 2.5 liter V-6 that develops 204 horsepower, while the IS 350 is fitted with the 306hp 3.5L V-6. A six-speed manual gearbox can only be ordered on the rear-wheel IS 250, while the IS 250, IS 250 AWD, IS 350 and IS 350 AWD offer an advanced six-speed automatic transmission with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters. A stock IS 350 can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 5.6 seconds, and reach 144 mph on a test track. Within the five-passenger, leather-trimmed interior are available 10-way power front seats, HD radio with iTunes tagging, automatic Bluetooth phonebook download, Lexus Enform with Safety Connect and a Mark Levinson Premium Surround Sound system and DVD touch-screen navigation system, 14-speakers and 300-watts continuous power. The F SPORT package is available for the IS 250/350 rear-wheel drive models, and includes heated front seats that feature a microfiber insert and leather side bolsters to provide more support for the driver and passenger during cornering. The package also adds F SPORT badging to the steering wheel, shift knob and doorsill scuff plates. A total of nine exterior paint colors are offered, including shades titled, "Matador Red Mica," "Fire Agate Pearl" and "Ultrasonic Blue Mica."
