Lexus ISF CCS-R Race Car

 
 
2013 LEXUS CCS-R RACE CAR: A treat for Lexus racing fans appeared at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show. It's the Lexus IS F CCS-R race car that competed in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb on July 8, 2012. Engine designation is 2UR-GSE, with a displacement of 5.0 liters. It pumps-out 416 horsepower and 371 lb.-ft. of torque to the rear-wheel drive system. The special powerplant is mated to an eight-speed Sport Direct Shift automatic gearbox with paddle shift and manual mode. Body is finished in Orange mica paint, with carbon fiber hood, door handles, front fenders, front and rear spoilers,front canard and ventilator. Windows are made of polycarbonate. At all four corners are SSR 18-inch wheels wrapped in Yokohama/ADVAN NEOVA tires, and the vehicle is set-up with special brake kit and stainless steel mesh brake hose. The cockpit contains a carbon fiber dashboard, center console, door and interior trim. Driver's seat is a full bucket with six-point seat belt, and additional racing equipment includes a 120L fuel cell, air jack system, fire extinguishing system, data logger, kill switch and tow strap.
