Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8
2013 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE SRT8: Chrysler Group SRT division has made the 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 the most powerful, technologically advanced, high-performance Jeep vehicle ever. It's also the best handling and braking Jeep in history. Visitors to the 105th edition of the Chicago Auto Show will see these rugged beauties in the Jeep exhibit, including a pair of exclusive, special-edition Grand Cherokee SRT8 models- the bright white "Alpine" and brilliant black "Vapor." Those two are limited to 400 units of each for the U.S. market. All '13 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 models are equipped with the 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 that pumps-out 470 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine comes mated to a five-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. Additional goodies from SRT add adaptive damping suspension managed by the Jeep Selec-Track system and Brembo brakes with four-wheel ABS. This factory-released setup enables the Grand Cherokee SRT8 to blast from 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds; quarter mile in the mid-13 second range; a top speed of 160 mph and brakes from 60-0 mph in 116 feet. Those are awe-inspiring numbers for an SUV. Rounding out the capability, the vehicle has a trailer tow rating of 5,000 lbs. New for 2013 are split five-spoke forged aluminum wheels with a choice of all-season or three-season run-flat tires. Luxurious cabin offers 2+3 seating, or when rear seatback is flat, room for 68.7 cu. ft. of cargo. A desirable option is the 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, with innovative GreenEdge technology and 825 watts of power.
