Jaguar XJ
2013 JAGUAR XJ: Jaguar describes the XJ as passion in motion; a dramatic combination of beauty, refinement and sheer exhilarating power. In other words, a premium luxury sedan with cat-like agility. Outside, the sweep of its streamlined roof over the four-door body has a sleek, coupe-like profile, and employs lightweight aluminum construction. For 2013, the XJ lineup includes seven model choices: XJ, XJ AWD, XJL Portfolio, XJL Portfolio AWD, XJ and XJL Supercharged, XJ and XJL Supersport, and top-tier XJ Ultimate. Depending on trim level, there are three engines offered, all nicely mated to eight-speed automatic transmissions. The 3.0 liter V-6 is supercharged and develops a healthy 340 horsepower. Then there are three versions of the 5.0L V-8, with the natural aspirated at 385hp and the supercharged versions belting out 470 and 510 hp. The top speed is 155 mph and the XJ can accelerate from 0-to-60 mph in 4.7 seconds. Inside the six-occupant cabin, XJ offers a range of leather grains, a choice of premium wooden veneers and carbon-fiber finishes tailored to personal taste. Passengers have an exceptional view with a panoramic, heat-reflective glass roof that extends to the full width of the car and sweeps as far back as the rear seat area. The latest XJs smoothly transports 18.4 cu. ft. of luggage in the tailored trunk. A variety of stunning 19- and 20-inch alloy wheels are available, with wider wheels fitted at the rear of the car, optimizing grip and enhancing the car's sporting, athletic stance.
