2013 HONDA FIT: With updated "windswept" exterior styling for last year, the subcompact Honda Fit returns for model year 2013, with a fresh exterior color; upgraded interior and more standard and available features. The new exterior paint selection is called, "Midnight Plum Pearl," replacing the previous Orange Burst Metallic. There's comfortable seating for up to five passengers, plus 20.6 cubic feet of storage space behind the rear seats - more than in a typical sedan. With the enhanced versatility of the exclusive 60/40 split rear seating, a total of 57.3 cu. ft. of cargo volume is available when the rear seatbacks are folded down. The four distinct seat configurations are designed to accommodate large objects from mountain bikes to tall houseplants. All models are front-wheel drive, and powered by a 1.5 liter four-cylinder engine that is tuned to deliver an engaging combination of 117 horsepower and fuel efficiency. A five-speed manual gearbox is standard and a five-speed automatic transmission is available. Steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters on the top-of-the-line Fit Sport models come equipped with the available automatic transmission, and allows for manual gear selection. The Fit Sport can be spotted by its body-colored underbody kit and rear roofline spoiler, fog lights and "machined surface" 16-inch alloy wheels. Fit's compact size and tight turning diameter (34.4 feet, curb-to-curb) allows the vehicle to conveniently navigate space-confined urban areas and fit in small parking spaces.
