GMC Yukon/ Yukon Denali
2013 GMC YUKON/YUKON DENALI: What's new for the popular GMC Yukon for 2013? There's a fresh, elegant exterior color titled "Champagne Silver Metallic." Also new is powertrain grade braking in the normal transmission mode that uses engine torque to help slow the vehicle on descents, which helps reduce brake wear. Otherwise, why mess with success. Consumers approve of the GMC Yukon and Yukon XL family of full-size SUVs. Yukon and the long-wheelbase Yukon XL trim levels include SLE (cloth trim) and SLT trim (leather appointments), as well as the premium Yukon Denali and Yukon XL Denali models. All Yukon and Yukon Denali models are offered in 2WD and 4WD configurations (2WD and AWD with Denali). Yukon XL is also offered in a heavy-duty 2500-series model. A third-row seat is standard on all Yukon models, providing room for up to nine passengers. When third and middle seats are down, the Yukon presents a welcomed 108 cu ft of cargo room, while the Yukon XL expands that space to cavernous 137.4 cu. ft. New available items include navigation radio with a USB port, hard drive and Time Shift Recording capability; Side Blind Zone Alert and third-row DVD entertainment. There are three V8 engine choices, as well as a four-or six-speed automatic transmission. Yukon and Yukon XL feature a 5.3-liter that creates 320 horsepower and 335 lb. ft. of torque. The Denali uses a 6.2L producing 403 hp and 417 lb. ft. of torque, while the Yukon XL 2500 is powered by a 352 hp 6.0L that generates 382 lb. ft. of torque. The XL 2500 leads with a maximum towing rating of 9,600 pounds, followed by the Yukon at 8,500 lb, and 8,100 lb for the Yukon XL 1500.
