Ferrari California 30
2013 FERRARI CALIFORNIA 30: Always a crowd favorite at the Chicago Auto Show are the exotic Ferraris on display. At the 2013 show, there are two sensational models, including the 2013 Ferrari California 30. That’s 30 as in the fact that it is 30 kilos (66 lbs) lighter and 30 horsepower more powerful than previous California editions. The California’s V-8 now punches out a maximum of 490 horsepower and 372 lb. ft. of torque. V-8 that blasts from 0-to-60 mph in 3.7 seconds on way to a top speed of 194 mph. The Ferrari California features an optimized traction control system: the F1-Trac that is faster and more precise than a traditional stability control and is capable of minimizing the engine torque corrections required to maintain the desired trajectory. Voluptuous body design is by Pininfarina, with classic long hood and cockpit moved slightly towards the rear. The slender air intake vent on the hood and the side air vents both echo features of the 1957 Ferrari California 250. The vehicle on display is courtesy of Continental Auto Sports, Hinsdale, Illinois, and lists $237,324.
