BMW 1 Series
2013 BMW 1 SERIES: Overall, the BMW 1 Series continues to reinvent the niche that the legendary BMW 2002 Coupe created some 40 years ago. Now sharper than ever, both 125i and 135i Coupe and Convertible trim levels combine sporty rear-wheel drive dynamics, agile handling, powerful engines and seating for four. The 1 Series represent the entry into the BMW product range in the North American automobile market, all equipped with a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder. The 128i lets its 230 horsepower possess the highway, shifting through the six-speed Steptronic automatic transmission. Under the hood of the 135i series is the turbocharged version producing 300hp, mated to a fuel-efficient seven-speed double clutch automatic gearbox. Stylish cabin combines aesthetics and innovative technology such as sun-reflective leather seating on the convertible, and hands-free Bluetooth connection added for all models. A respectable 13 cu. ft. of luggage room is offered in the coupe, but drops to 8.5 cu. ft. when the power-folding automatic soft top is lowered on the convertible. Vermillion Red Metallic and Marrakesh Brown Metallic are just two of the exterior paint shades, and there is an available Oyster Boston leather interior.
