Audi 2014 RS 5 Cabriolet
2014 AUDI RS 5 CABRIOLET: A new Audi model, the 2014 RS 5 Cabriolet will be presented for the first time in Chicago during the 2013 Chicago Auto Show. It's a natural that Audi adds this high-end soft top while riding high on the success of the RS 5 coupe. Visually, the exterior and interior of the RS 5 Cabriolet retains the essence of the Coupe, and when the top is down it only requires 2.12 cu-ft. of its 13.42 cu-ft. trunk volume. It takes 15 seconds to open and 17 seconds to close, even when driving at speeds of up to 30 mph. Hot new features are the LED light strips that illuminate the headlights and taillights without any conventional incandescent lamps. The rear bumper was also redesigned; its diffuser is now much higher, and a honeycomb screen insert encloses the two large elliptical tailpipes. On the trunk lid there is a subtle matte carbon spoiler lip for additional downforce. With nearly identical performance numbers as the coupe, the RS 5 Cabriolet is powered by a high-revving, naturally aspirated 4.2 liter V-8 with FSI direct injection that outputs 450 horsepower. With a curb weight of 4,420 lbs., the Audi RS 5 Cabriolet launches from zero to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds. The car's top speed is limited to 174 mph; while at the same time having no gas guzzler tax. Inside the four-passenger cockpit, the optimal support sport seats are upholstered in a combination of leather and Alcantara or in the optional black or lunar silver Fine Nappa leather. All leather types are pigmented to reduce heating by sunlight. The 2014 Audi RS 5 Cabriolet will arrive at dealerships in Spring 2013.
