SMART fortwo
2010 SMART FORTWO: Smart is a member of Mercedes-Benz Cars. In January 2008, the United States became the 37th country to sell the Smart fortwo. The U.S. models for 2010 are the Smart fortwo pure coupe (entry-level), the fortwo passion coupe (well-equipped) and the fortwo passion cabriolet (well-equipped convertible). All models are equipped with the 3-cylinder, 1-liter gasoline powered engine mated to a 5-speed automatic. The 71h.p. powerplant has an electronically limited top speed of 90 mph, and with the majority of the engine and transaxle over the driven wheels results in better traction. Though only 8.8 feet long, the fortwo stands 5.1 feet tall tall, providing as much headroom as most luxury vehicles. The fortwo has achieved the highest ratings from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) for front and side crashworthiness. A total of 8 cubic feet of cargo space is provide in the rear storage area – 12 feet if you load up to the roof line, and the front seat also folds down for additional space.
