Saab 9-5
2010 SAAB 9-5 SEDAN: Due its recent sale, Saab has chosen not to display at the 2010 Chicago Auto Show. The future direction of Saab is apparently secured with the sale to Dutch manufacturer Spyker Cars NV. This means that the redesigned 2010 Saab 9-5 Sedan and Wagon are coming to market. The 9-5 models signals a new direction for the Swedish brand with sleek lines that still carry traditional Saab cues, making the 4-door a coupe-like projectile. An array of technical features include head-up information display, adaptive lighting, DriveSense adaptive chassis with real-time damping control, keyless entry and starting, tri-zone air conditioning and XWD with an electronic limited differential for all wheel drive traction. Power comes from a 220-hp 2.0 liter turbo four or 300-hp 2.8 liter turbo V-6 (when XWD equipped). Six speed manual and automatic transmissions are available, depending on equipment. The 5-passenger sedan’s trunk holds 18.2 cu. in. of cargo space.
