Ford Ranger
2010 FORD RANGER: If ever a vehicle had the proverbial 9-lives, it’s the Ford Ranger compact pickup, which is approaching three decades on the market. For 2010 it gains AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control to assist in driving in severe conditions. Also standard is a Class III trailer hitch, meaning it comes ready to tow up to nearly 6,000 pounds. Three series are available: XL, XLT and Sport, with the FX4 no longer available. Regular cabs come in the first two series and extended SuperCabs come across the board. Ranger offers two engine choices: a 143-hp 2.3-liter dual-overhead-cam 4-cylinder and a 207-hp 4.0-liter single-overhead-cam V-6. All engines are equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission and are available with a 5-speed automatic transmission. Rear and four wheel drive are available.
