2010 TOYOTA 4RUNNER: For 2010 Toyota’s 5-generation 4Runner remains true to its heritage, which dates back to 1984. While other full frame SUVs are converting to crossover status and going soft, the new 4Runner retains body-on-frame construction and is taller, wider and longer instead of shrinking. In 4-wheel drive versions fear need not start where the road ends. It comes in SR5, upmarket Limited and with a Trail grade option for the SR5. Drive configurations include rear wheel drive, part-time 4-wheel drive and full-time, multi-mode 4-wheel drive with a locking center differential. A new 2.7 liter 160-hp 4-cylinder engine and 4-speed automatic is standard with rear wheel drive while a 270-hp 4.0 liter V-6 with 5-speed automatic is optional and standard on 4-wheel drive models. Seating for 5 is standard and a third row is available. A total of 89.7 cu. ft. of cargo room is available when rear seats are folded flat.
