2010 HYUNDAI ACCENT: An inexpensive subcompact, the Accent can be ordered as a 4-door sedan (GLS) or as a 2-door hatchback (GS and SE). A new model for 2010 is called Blue due to the color and trim, and maybe the most inexpensive subcompact on the market. For 2010, audio controls now are available on the Accent steering wheel, and USB and auxiliary ports become standard fare. The hatchback’s cargo space is 15.9 cubic feet, and the sedan comes with a 12-cubic-foot trunk. The front-wheel-drive, 5-passenger Accent has a peppy 110-horsepower, 1.6-liter, 4-cylinder engine mated to a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. Minor cosmetic changes have been made on exterior mirrors, wheel guards and body moldings for 2010. Minor technical changes have been made to thermostat and alternator to improve fuel usage.
