2017 Volkswagen Tiguan: Competing in the compact crossover SUV segment, the 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan is an alternative to the Ford Escape, Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4. For 2017, the Tiguan adds new features and shuffles its trim levels.
Under hood is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 200 horsepower and pairs to a six-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel or all-wheel drive layouts are available, and the Tiguan's EPA-estimated fuel-economy ratings are 20 mpg city and 24 mpg highway with both layouts.
There are four trim levels - S, Wolfsburg Edition, Sport and SEL. Available features include fog lamps, sunroof, heated front seats, roof rails, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, keyless entry, leather seats, USB, Bluetooth, satellite radio, navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Available safety features include rear-view camera with rear assist and dual-front, front-side and side-curtain airbags.
