2017 Toyota Yaris iA: Formerly the Scion iA, this four-door subcompact sedan shares mechanical DNA with the Mazda 2. It carries over mostly unchanged from last year, although it's now sold under the Toyota nameplate - the Scion brand was discontinued in 2016. The Yaris iA competes most closely with the Chevrolet Sonic, Ford Fiesta, and Kia Rio.
There's one engine available: A 1.5-liter four-cylinder that make 106 horsepower. Buyers can choose between a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission, and the iA is front-wheel drive. EPA-estimated fuel economy is listed at 31 mpg city and 41 mpg highway (33/42 with automatic transmission).
Available features include air conditioning, remote keyless entry, cruise control, Pandora, Bluetooth, and USB port.
