This five-seat sedan competes with well-known nameplates such as the Ford Fusion, Honda Accord, and Toyota Camry. The Altima carries over mostly unchanged for 2017, following a mid-cycle refresh for 2016.There are two available engines: A 2.5-liter four-cylinder that makes 179 horsepower and a 3.5-liter V6 that makes 270 horsepower. Both mate to a continuously-variable automatic transmission (CVT), and the Altima is front-wheel drive.
