2017 Jeep Compass: The 2017 Jeep Compass is a five-seat compact SUV that competes with vehicles like the Chevrolet Equinox, Ford Escape and Toyota RAV4. For 2017, it's mostly unchanged.
The Compass comes with a choice of two engines - a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that makes 158 horsepower or a 2.4-liter four-cylinder that makes 172 horsepower. Available transmissions include a five-speed manual, a six-speed automatic and a continuously-variable automatic. The Compass is available with either front-wheel or four-wheel drive. EPA-estimated fuel economy ranges from 20 mpg city to 30 mpg highway.
